The Logan Mansion
Built in 1897 by a prominent local beer distributor named Lafayette R. Logan, The Logan Mansion is one of the finest remaining examples of Queen Anne Victorian-style architecture in Shreveport. It has previously served as a boarding house, a church, and a radio station, and is currently a private home that is not open to the public. As of 2023, a portion of the home is being operated as a short-term rental that may be booked at AirBnB.com.
The Logan Mansion is located directly across Austen Place from another architectural gem, The Ogilvie-Wiener Mansion, and is less than a one-block walk from several must-visit destinations within Shreveport Common including Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, Oakland Cemetery, and the 800 Block of Texas Avenue. The Logan Mansion occasionally participates in home tours and holiday open houses; contact proprietor@loganmansion.com or call (318) 210-1007 for more information.
