The Andress Artist and Entrepreneur Center
The Andress Artist and Entrepreneur Center, located less than one block from Central ARTSTATION and Caddo Common Park, is home to established businesses, startups, and artists. The Art Deco building designed by Samuel G. Wiener was built in 1929 and long functioned as a parking garage and Ford dealership. After standing vacant for decades, the building was given new life in 2021, its dramatic transformation the result of a years-long process of planning and renovation spearheaded by Shreveport Common.
Visitors to The Andress Artist and Entrepreneur Center can view the work of local artists in the onsite gallery. The building is home to numerous artists’ workspaces, and frequently hosts public art classes, artists’ marketplaces, and networking events. To learn more, call (318) 218-1845 or visit www.aaec.space.
