The Flame

The Flame is a metal, 20’ tall, LED Lit, sculpture that illuminates the skies of the Shreveport Common and sits atop the Kallenberg Artist Tower — an apartment for a visiting artists. “The Flame” is also a tribute to the former purpose of the Central ARTSTATION and the Kallenberg Artist Tower as the historic Central Fire Station.  Finally, “THE FLAME” signals the memory of the tragic fire, set by an arsonist, which burned SRAC’s office and community Arts rehearsal space to the ground.
